Hello, and welcome to my website. My name is Donato Cutolo!

 

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Bologna and I am currently on the job market.

My scholarly interests span entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategy, and encompass 1) the evaluation of atypicality; 2) the role narratives, language, and communication in this process; 3) the impact of digital platforms on entrepreneurial dynamics. Most of my work is based on quantitative methods, including big data econometric analyses coupled with computational linguistics techniques, such as topic modeling, word embedding, and automated text analysis.

My research has been published in, or has been invited for revisions at, the Journal of Management, the Academy of Management Perspectives, the Sloan Management Review, and Advances in Strategic Management.

Before joining academia, I was a professional basketball player for more than ten years. When I am not fueling my passion for research, I love running, going on bikepacking adventures with my gravel bike, and reconnecting with nature.
